Temporary restrictions on the passage of heavy vehicles have been imposed on Bishkek — Osh highway at Sosnovka control post in Chui region and at Chychkan post in Jalal-Abad region due to weather conditions. Press service of the Main Traffic Safety Department reports.
The restrictions will last until the improvement of weather conditions in the area of Too-Ashuu, Ala-Bel and Otmok passes.
«Currently, there is packed snow, snowstorm and limited visibility on the passes. Special equipment is being used to clean the roadway, inert materials are also used,» the department informed.
The traffic police ask drivers to have snow chains with them, in case of a traffic jam not to drive into the oncoming lane, do not prevent special equipment from driving to the place of traffic jams, do not drive with summer tires and keep a distance of 500 meters between vehicles.
