Women make up about a third (35 percent) of individual entrepreneurs in Kyrgyzstan. The National Statistical Committee provided such data.
According to it, there are 121,876 women — individual entrepreneurs in the country and 222,548 men.
The number of women among individual entrepreneurs in Bishkek exceeds the number of men — 54.5 percent and 45.5 percent, respectively.
