Kyrgyzstan returns 63 citizens who committed crimes abroad to homeland

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Kyrgyzstan has returned 63 citizens who committed crimes abroad for nine months. The supervisory authority told 24.kg news agency.

Within the framework of international agreements, requirements for extradition of 65 more people, who committed crimes in the Kyrgyz Republic and fled, have been sent.

«At the same time, at the request of foreign competent authorities, Kyrgyzstan extradited seven foreign citizens who were detained on the territory of the country. Work is underway to transport compatriots, who have been convicted and are serving their sentences abroad, to the homeland. Some 63 people, extradited to homeland, are serving their sentences in the correctional facilities,» the Prosecutor General’s Office said.
