Interior Ministry uses Russia, Georgia’s experience against organized crime

Kyrgyzstan fights against organized crime groups using the experience of Russia and Georgia. The Minister of Internal Affairs of the country Kashkar Dzhunushaliev told at a parliament meeting today.

According to him, 136 members of organized criminal groups have been detained since the beginning of the year.

«At least 421 people are registered by the Ministry of Internal Affairs as members of organized crime groups. Fourteen of them are wanted. We apply the experience of Russia and Georgia in the fight against organized crime, amendments are made to the relevant codes,» said Kashkar Dzhunushaliev.

Recall, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Mirlan Kanimetov said that there were no organized crime groups in the Kyrgyz Republic.
