Zhenish Razakov intends to file lawsuit against members of Parliament

The Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan told reporters that he intended to sue deputies of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan for spreading false information. Zhenish Razakov reported this in an interview with Govori.TV.

According to the official, he had worked in Batken region for 19 years and climbed career ladder from an ordinary policeman to a governor.

«In 1999-2000, I defended our country from terrorists in Batken. Honor and uniform of an officer is above all for me. I will never take actions to the detriment of the interests of Kyrgyzstan, and I will not sign such documents either. I am a lawyer and I understand documents,» the Deputy Prime Minister said.

Zhenish Razakov called the information voiced by deputies of the Parliament fake, adding that he would not pay attention to rumors of espionage in favor of Tajikistan if this issue had not been heard from the Parliament’s tribune.

«What is posted on social networks, on the Internet, is a fake. I talked with experts about this, said that there was no need to react to them. But some deputies, based on this fake, raised the issue in Parliament,» he stressed.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, he has already appealed to the State Committee for National Security with a statement against distribution of fake information about him on social networks. Zhenish Razakov also stated that he intended to sue the deputies of the Parliament in order to protect his honor and dignity.

Earlier, parliament deputies appealed to SCNS with a request to check publications about the deputy prime minister. They drew attention to the publications of Tajik media that Zhenish Razakov was an agent of the special services of the neighboring country.

The SCNS, on the basis of discrediting publications in the media with respect to the Vice Prime Minister Zhenish Razakov, conducted pre-trial proceedings within a criminal case filed under the article «Treason.» According to the results of the check, the official’s involvement in the special services of foreign countries was not confirmed.

Recall, according to the Constitution, deputies of the Parliament cannot be prosecuted for their opinions expressed in connection with their parliamentary activities.
