«We are ready to consider the possibility of cooperation with Russia in the framework of Technopolis project,» President of the Legprom Association Saparbek Asanov said during the Kyrgyz-Russian conference today.
According to him, the government allocated 41 hectares of land for the project, which has already been transformed. Now the association is engaged in drawing up documentation. Industrial facilities are ready. The facility will be located 15 kilometers from Bishkek. There is the railway nearby.
Preliminary cost of Technopolis project is about $ 45 million.
«About 40 enterprises can be placed in Technopolis, which will meet international standards. In addition, Kyrgyzstan is a member of GSP + preferential system, so we can export our goods not only to the Eurasian Economic Union, but also to European countries. We know the trends in the garment industry. We have highly qualified personnel, the cheapest electricity. All this suggests that manufacture of products in our country is the most competitive area. We are ready to consider all the proposals of the Russian side,» Saparbek Asanov stressed.
