The State Committee for Energy, Industry and Subsoil Use changes the conditions for issue of licenses for the use of subsoil. From now on, the state will definitely participate in the projects.
Today, the Prime Minister held a meeting on subsoil use and instructed within a week to develop new mechanisms for managing the country’s natural resources. Emil Osmonbetov, Chairman of the Committee of Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use, reported that an inventory of previously issued licenses was being carried out.
«Mandatory state participation will be included in the conditions for holding upcoming tenders and auctions for the right to use subsoil resources to increase the state assets. Thus, the state equity participation will serve as a guarantor for investors who invest their capital in the mining industry, as well as stabilize the relations of the local population with investors,» he said.
Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev instructed to strengthen the control over the raw materials with the content of precious metals exported from the country with mandatory registration in the state balance of minerals. In addition, he noted the need to study the creation of modern laboratories in the field of subsoil use and the adoption of measures to develop the jewelry industry.
