The President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov thanked compatriots, creative teams, art masters, sponsors, volunteers and policemen in connection with the completion of the 3rd World Nomad Games.
According to the head of state, the large-scale event demonstrated to the world the magnificent culture of the ancient nomadic people, their valor, spiritual potential, the unique beauty of our land and served to enhance the authority of our country.
More than 70,000 foreign tourists became the spectators of the Games. About 3,000 athletes from 74 countries participated in the WNG 2018.
The event was covered by more than 600 representatives of foreign mass media. Live broadcasts were organized in 60 countries.
The Games were attended by representatives of international partners and sports organizations, diplomats. «Guests of the Games admired by the beautiful appearance of our yurts, lined up in a row, by the amazingly beautiful products of our folk craftsmen. More than 30 creative teams from different parts of the world demonstrated their skills at the World of Nomads ethnic festival,» said Sooronbai Jeenbekov.
The head of state stressed that the right to hold the 4th World Nomad Games was handed over to Turkey with the condition of preservation of the authorship of Kyrgyzstan. According to the president, this is important for preserving the international level of the unique project in the future. «Kyrgyzstan is interested in the worldwide promotion of the Nomad Games in accordance with Kyrgyz rules, philosophy and goals,» Sooronbai Jeenbekov summed up.The World Nomad Games were held three times on the Kyrgyz land, on the shore of the sacred Issyk-Kul Lake. This large-scale event of world level has strengthened the unity of our people, helped to raise their patriotic spirit.
