Casual sex accounted for a third (33 percent) of all cases of hepatitis B and C infection. The head of the Department for Prevention of Infectious and Parasitic Diseases Abdykadyr Zhoroev told at a press conference.
«According to the last year analysis, the cause of the infection was found out in 60% of all registered cases of hepatitis B and C. Casual sex accounted for 33 percent, 22 percent of patients got the infection in dental offices, other 13 percent — after visiting beauty salons, the same amount — during injections at home, 6 percent were infected abroad, and through non-sexual contact — 13 percent,» he noted.
Abdykadyr Zhoroev told that the epidemiologists of the Ministry of Health conducted an epidemiological examination to establish the cause and interrupt the transmission of the disease.
