Trained in Syria militant tried to penetrate into Kyrgyzstan

A militant trained in Syria tried to penetrate into Kyrgyzstan. He was detained by the staff of the State Committee for National Security.

As its press service reported, the detained militant since 2016 was a member of the international terrorist organizations, where he underwent sabotage training and took an active part in military operations against Syrian government forces.

Following the orders of the international terrorist organizations’ leaders, he tried to penetrate into Kyrgyzstan with the goal of creating an underground terrorist cell and preparing a series of terrorist acts in the republic.

At present, the investigation bodies of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic initiated a criminal case. The detainee is imprisoned in pre-trial detention center of SCNS.
