Number of heavy trucks standing at Ak-Tilek checkpoint grows

435 heavy trucks have accumulated at Ak-Tilek checkpoint. The State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan informed 24.kg news agency.

According to the Border Service, only 73 vehicles had been passed the day before. Queue of trucks has also grown at Chon-Kapka checkpoint. There are 185 of them. About 50 have crossed the border.

The situation on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border became complicated on October 10. Kazakhstan has strengthened phyto-sanitary control. President Almazbek Atambayev described this step of the neighboring state as a blockade and promised to allocate another million soms for drivers’ meals who are waiting in kilometer-long queues.
