Heating in Bishkek to be turned up on October 17

According to the order of the mayor’s office, Bishkek will start the heating season on October 17. This was reported by the capital’s municipality.

Yesterday, Bishkek mayor’s office held a meeting of the city staff for the preparation for the autumn-winter period. According to the information voiced at the meeting, Bishkekteploenergo Municipal Enterprise, Bishkekteploset OJSC and Bishkek HPP are fully prepared for the forthcoming heating season.

As the Hydrometeorological Center reported, the temperature in the capital from October 18 is expected to drop to +1 ... + 3 degrees with a mix of rain and snow.

Based on the data provided by the meteorological service, it was decided to turn on the heating at the metropolitan institutions and citizens’ houses on October 17.

Connecting of objects will last several days. First of all, heating will be supplied to schools, kindergartens, hospitals, maternity homes and social protection institutions. Secondly — in residential buildings, industrial enterprises and institutions that don’t have debts for previously consumed thermal energy and in the presence of an act of readiness of the facility to work in winter conditions.
