Closed meeting of SDPK political council took place in Bishkek the day before. The political organization refused to comment on the agenda to 24.kg news agency.
However, it became known that the members of the political council of the party in power discussed preparation for the presidential elections, and also decided to expel the leader of the youth wing Renat Samudinov from the ranks of the Social Democrats.
Recall, earlier, Renat Samudinov spoke for primaries procedure within the SDPK and proposed to choose a single candidate for the highest political post from the party following the results of such a poll. However, the leadership of the party did not support this initiative. And the leader of the youth wing was not allowed to attend the congress, where Prime Minister Sooronbay Jeenbekov was nominated for the presidency. He was not in the list of delegates, but Renat Samudinov himself stated that he was elected to the congress from Oktyabrsky district of Bishkek.
The former member of the party in power himself said that he expected such a decision of the political council.
