A road accident in Bishkek on July 19 left five people injured, including three minors.
According to the press service of the Patrol Police Department, at around 00:45 a.m., the driver of a Honda Fit was traveling north along Yunusaliev Street. While making a left turn at the intersection with Mederov Street, the vehicle collided with a BMW X7 traveling in the opposite direction.
As a result of the crash, the driver of the Honda Fit sustained serious injuries and was taken to City Hospital No. 4. Doctors diagnosed him with a closed fracture on the right side of the lower back, and he was admitted to the intensive care unit.
Three minor passengers in the Honda Fit were also injured. One suffered a head injury and remains in serious condition. Another sustained facial injuries and was discharged for outpatient treatment after receiving medical assistance. The third child also suffered bodily injuries.
The driver of the BMW X7 sustained a shoulder injury and sought medical aid.
An investigation into the accident is underway. Both vehicles have been impounded.
