Officials of Aviation Enterprise under MES detained for bribery

Officials of the Aviation Enterprise under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic were detained when taking a bribe of $8,000. The State Service for Combating Economic Crimes reported.

According to it, a man turned to the Bishkek Department of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes with a statement. He asked to take measures against the employees of the Aviation Enterprise under the Ministry of Emergency Measures of Kyrgyzstan, who extorted $25,000 for a positive decision of judicial bodies on non-payment of non-tax payments. In case of failure to provide the requested amount, they threatened to recover the debt of the state enterprise from the applicant himself.

As reported, on May 31 the Bishkek prosecutor’s office opened a criminal case under Article 313 (extortion of a bribe in a large amount) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Director of the Aviation Enterprise under the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan, his deputy and a lawyer were detained on the territory of the garage of the Ministry of Emergency Situations when taking a bribe of $8,000.

Investigation is under way.
