Third phase of Taraz-Suusamyr road reconstruction to end in August 2017

The third phase of rehabilitation works on Taraz-Talas-Suusamyr road, including Talas town, will be completed in August 2017. The Minister of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhamshitbek Kalilov said during a study visit of the Prime Minister Sooronbay Jeenbekov to the region, Information Support Department of the government’s executive office reported.

According to him, reconstruction of the highway covers 75–105^th km. Repair work is carried out at the expense of international financial institutions and the government of the country.

Repair work is carried out according to the schedule, there are no backlogs in the project. In addition, negotiations with donors on allocation of funds for the fourth phase of the road reconstruction are underway.
