What niche can Kyrgyzstan take on the world market

Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies of KR Azamat Dikambayev told what niche can take Kyrgyzstan on the world market.

According to him, Kyrgyzstan's market is very small. «The republic may increase the economic potential thanks to the added cost. And it can be introduced only for a unique product. We shouldn’t be limited by the export of natural raw materials. A deep processing of the same agricultural products is needed. Now we can’t even compete with Belarus. Land, methods, conditions — everything is not in our favor," Azamat Dikambayev said.

He added that Kyrgyzstan could occupy a niche of environmentally friendly products. However, the focus shouldn’t be on the finished product, but on the seeds.
