It is necessary to increase the number of deputies of local councils for qualitative work, the MP Kenzhebek Bokoev said today at a meeting of the Parliament.
In his opinion, it is necessary to increase the number of seats in the town and rural councils.
He believes that settlements with a population of 6,000 people should have 15 deputies (currently eleven).
Towns with population of 20,000 people — 25 deputies (21 now).
Towns with population of over 20,000 people — 35 deputies (31).
Kenzhebek Bokoev proposes to increase the term of election of deputies of local councils from 4 to 5 years.
