UNESCO has granted official patronage to the International Issyk-Kul Forum, which will take place on June 18–21. Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Culture reported.
According to the ministry, the agreement was reached during a working visit of Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy Mirbek Mambetaliev to Paris.
The International Issyk-Kul Forum was founded in 1986 at the initiative of renowned writer and humanist Chingiz Aitmatov as an open intellectual platform for discussing the future of humanity, the ethics of progress, the role of culture in world politics, and the responsibility of intellectuals to society.
