Kyrgyzstan proposes creating green technology corridor to SCO countries

Minister of Science, Higher Education, and Innovation of Kyrgyzstan Gulzat Isamatova is participating in the tenth meeting of the heads of science and technology ministries and departments of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states.

According to the Ministry of Science, she proposed creating a «Green Technology Corridor» to develop joint projects in climate monitoring, water resources, renewable energy, and sustainable agriculture.

The minister noted that SCO countries are currently at the center of global technological change related to the development of artificial intelligence, digitalization, and human capital.

The Kyrgyz side also proposed initiatives to create a network of SCO science and technology parks, launch grant programs for young scientists, expand academic mobility, and form a unified digital platform for the exchange of scientific information.
