The State Border Service of Kyrgyzstan announced that, at the initiative of the Chinese side, Torugart-Avtrodorozhny and Irkeshtam-Avtodorozhny checkpoints will be temporarily closed.
According to the agency, the restrictions are related to the observance of the Qingming Festival in China. The closures will take effect on April 4 at 8 p.m., with the movement of people, vehicles, and cargo set to resume on April 6.
The State Border Service urges citizens and carriers to take the changes into account when planning travel and cargo shipments.
