Putin awards Kyrgyzstani for contribution to holding Immortal Regiment march

Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded a Kyrgyzstani for her contribution to holding the Immortal Regiment march.

Zulfira Khaibullina, the permanent coordinator of the Immortal Regiment — ​​Kyrgyzstan movement, was awarded the commemorative medal «80 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945.» The Russian leader made the decision a year ago, and the award was presented in March 2026 by Sergei Vakunov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kyrgyz Republic. He noted that important areas of the Russian diplomatic mission’s work include countering attempts to distort historical truth, preserving sites of shared historical and cultural heritage, protecting the rights and legitimate interests of compatriots, and preventing discrimination.

«Russian compatriots in Kyrgyzstan make a significant contribution to the preservation of the Russian language and culture, as well as shared historical memory,» Sergei Vakunov said.

Zulfira Khaibullina was awarded the prestigious award for her long-term coordination of the Immortal Regiment march in Bishkek and Kyrgyzstan. Her contribution to community service and the patriotic education of youth remains invaluable.
