The seventh two-day meeting of the heads of ministries and agencies of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states responsible for environmental issues opened today at the Ala-Archa-1 State Residence. The press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The event is being held under the theme: «25 Years: Together for Sustainable Peace, Development and Prosperity.»
Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision Zhenish Seidaliev noted that regular meetings within the SCO framework confirm the countries’ shared interests and commitment to developing coordinated solutions on key environmental issues.
Participants emphasized that a favorable environment is the foundation of sustainable socio-economic development and has a direct impact on public health and overall well-being.
