Driving courses at the state-owned Road Traffic Licensing Institute cost 19,000 soms for a 10-month program, but this fee covers only the theoretical component—practical lessons are charged separately.
At the official opening of the institute, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Affairs Department Boobek Salimzhanov told journalists that the theoretical part of driving school training is priced at 19,000 soms. Classes are held three times a week for two hours each, he noted, excluding practical training.
According to the institute’s press service, the program includes 70 hours of practical training, conducted both on simulators and at the driving range.
Practice on simulators is free of charge.
However, each session at the driving range, which uses a vehicle and fuel, costs approximately 1,000 soms on average. The pricing for practical lessons is still being finalized.
The institute clarified that some practical training initially takes place on simulators rather than on the driving range.
