Kyrgyzstan to launch system for remote apostille issuance

Kyrgyzstan will launch an automated information system «Electronic Apostille». The press service of the Ministry of Justice reported.

It is noted that this is a single digital platform for automating the apostille process.

«The system covers the entire process: from registering applications for apostille, checking the authenticity of documents and signatures of authorized persons, to issuing an electronic stamp «Apostille», its registration in the system and paying the state fee through a payment gateway,» the Ministry of Justice explained.

According to the ministry, this system will be integrated with Tunduk platform; for automatic data exchange with government agencies citizens will not need to additionally provide certificates, samples of signatures and seals.

The Ministry of Justice noted that the introduction of this system reduces corruption risks, and citizens will be able to receive an apostille remotely.

An apostille is a special stamp that confirms the authenticity of documents for recognition in other countries. Since 2020, the authority to issue an apostille has been transferred to the territorial divisions of the Ministry of Justice. In 2023, new fees for an apostille were set.
