Kyrgyzstan plans to issue Eurobonds —Cabinet Chairman

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev met with the head of the International Division at Citibank Ernesto Torres Cantu on the sidelines of the Asian Financial Forum, which is taking place in Hong Kong.

They discussed issues of expanding cooperation, including the issue of Eurobonds and the establishment of correspondent relations between Kyrgyzstan’s and international banks.

The head of the Cabinet expressed the interest of Kyrgyz commercial banks, including Eldik Bank and Aiyl Bank, in establishing correspondent relations with Citibank.

Ernesto Torres Cantu noted the huge potential for the development of financial cooperation with Kyrgyzstan and added that the issue of Eurobonds will be an important step towards strengthening economic ties.

Citibank is the banking division of Citigroup Inc., a multinational banking and financial corporation headquartered in New York. It is one of the largest banks in the world by assets, operating in many countries.
