The Cabinet noted that the bypass road around Uzgen would become an alternative to the main Osh — Bishkek highway, which passes through the city center. The total length of the road is 14 kilometers. It will be four-lane and includes two large bridges — one 200 meters long across Kara-Darya River and another 97 meters long across Zhazy River. Currently, work is underway to lay asphalt concrete and install trays. At least 85-90 percent of the planned work has been completed.
