Schoolchildren from Central Asia are invited to the Russian language Olympiad. The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia reported on Telegram.
The Olympiad is held by the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute.
High school students from foreign schools, as well as individual participants aged 14-18 can participate in the Olympiad. Applications for participation in the Olympiad are already accepted.
Schoolchildren who have Russian citizenship or have applied for it are not allowed to participate.
The Olympiad will be held in three stages: the qualifying round and the semi-finals will be held remotely. The final will be held in person in Moscow from October 30 to November 3. The organizing committee will cover the costs of travel to Moscow and back, accommodation and meals.
To participate, it is necessary to register on the portal Education in Russian before 11.59 p.m. on September 22.
Participants will have to demonstrate their understanding of what they have read by answering questions after the text, and complete test and creative tasks.
The goal of the event is to preserve the cultural heritage of Alexander Pushkin and unite representatives of different countries in an effort to develop their interest in the Russian language and Russian culture.
