17,000 Kyrgyzstanis intend to leave for work in the UK in 2025

At least 17,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan intend to leave for work in the UK in 2025. Ulan Dzhusupov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, announced at a meeting of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security and Migration of the Parliament.

According to him, the number of people wishing to leave for work in the UK is growing every year.

«If in 2022, 4,500 of our citizens left for work in this country, in 2023 — 7,500, then in 2024 this figure has already increased to 10,000 people,» Ulan Dzhusupov noted.

He added that many people are attracted by comfortable working conditions in the UK.

Deputy Altynbek Kylychbaev called for increasing the number of quotas for labor migrants from the Kyrgyz Republic. «We need to increase their number to at least 17,000. You can see the situation in Russia for yourself; many people are now looking for new countries for labor migration,» he added.
