Capital Bank’s transfer to state: Changes in board composition continue

The Board of Directors of Capital Bank OJSC continues to make changes to composition of the board. The website of the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange reports.

Zakir Kasimov and Nargul Mamytova have been appointed Deputy Chairpersons of the Board of Capital Bank OJSC. The decision was made by the Board of Directors of the commercial bank. Previously, these positions were occupied by Marina Nukeeva and Zamirbek Akunov. It was noted that the powers of board member Ulan Okenov have been terminated.

It was reported earlier that Capital Bank no longer belongs to the family of the deceased former speaker of Parliament.

According to the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange, 100 percent of the bank’s shares were transferred to the State Property Management Agency.

Before the transaction, the bank’s shares belonged to Chynybai Tursunbekov’s children: Erzhan Chynybai uulu — 40 percent, Aidai Tursunbekova — 30 percent and Begimai Chynybai kyzy — 30 percent.

In the interview, the head of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev told that a raider seizure of Akylinvestbank took place in 2010, which was associated with the son of the fugitive president, Maxim Bakiyev. Chynybai Tursunbekov renamed it into Capital Bank and registered his wife Nurzhan Tentimishova as its owner.

It is known that the State Committee for National Security officers detained two daughters of the deceased businessman, former speaker Chynybai Tursunbekov, Aidai and Begimai. They were later released.
