President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov received the High Representative of the European Union Josep Borrell. The press service of the head of state reported.
According to it, the parties exchanged views on a wide range of issues, including the prospects for trade and economic cooperation, investments and the implementation of joint projects in the fields of energy, transport, water resources, and digitalization.
Sadyr Japarov noted that the European Union is one of Kyrgyzstan’s reliable partners, providing support to the country for sustainable development since independence. He invited EU investors to join large-scale hydropower and transport projects being implemented in the republic.
In turn, Josep Borrell noted the fruitful visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic to the headquarters of the European Union in Brussels. He emphasized that the agreement on enhanced partnership and cooperation signed during this visit opens up new prospects in bilateral relations, especially in the trade, economic and investment spheres.
The High Representative of the European Union confirmed the EU’s commitment to further deepening bilateral cooperation with Kyrgyzstan and its readiness to implement joint projects in areas of mutual interest.
