Director of the National Center for Prevention of Torture Bakyt Rysbekov said at a meeting of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan that 64 soms are allocated to feed a child in children’s residential institutions.
It is impossible to provide a child with three meals a day for this amount, he said.
Bakyt Rysbekov noted that before the amount allocated by the state for food was increased, for example, in Kara-Suu specialized kindergarten for deaf children 28 soms were allocated for one child from the national budget. During the inspection, the staff of the center found expired food products.
