A new flag of the country was hoisted on Ala-Too square in Bishkek and the guard of honor cabin was renovated.
The head of state said at the second People’s Kurultai that changing the flag would not entail expenses from the republican budget.
It is noteworthy that the new flag has 39 rays, while the old one had 40. It symbolized the unification of 40 ancient tribes into a single Kyrgyzstan.
