Border guards of Dostuk-Avtodorozhny checkpoint prevented another attempt to smuggle money across the border. The press service of the state service reported.
A citizen of the Russian Federation, 41, arrived at the checkpoint in the morning. $69,800 were discovered during border control.
«The man tried to smuggle the currency bypassing the customs legislation of the Republic, without declaring it. After drawing up the relevant documents, the foreigner and his money were handed over to the employees of the competent authorities for further proceedings,» the Border Service said.
