No ban on electric heating imposed in houses without other heat sources

The ban on the use of electric heating will not apply to houses without other sources of heat. Director General of the National Electric Network of Kyrgyzstan, Altynbek Rysbekov, told at a press conference.

According to him, there are multi-story houses in Kyrgyzstan that have only electric heating. They are not connected to either central or gas heating. They will not be shut off in winter.

«There was a shortage last year, too. But we did not impose restrictions for these houses. This year it will be the same. So there is nothing to worry about. When we talk about the power limit of 5 kilowatts, it does not mean that there will be problems. People can safely use an electric stove, light bulbs, washing machine and refrigerator at the same time,» Altynbek Rysbekov said.

Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Energy plans to ban electric heating in winter due to the shortage of electricity.
