Airbus ready to provide aircraft for domestic flights

Sadyk Sher-Niyaz, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to France, met withJacques Garrigue, Airbus Vice President for Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Press service of the diplomatic mission reported.

Sadyk Sher-Niyaz noted the beginning of active cooperation with Airbus and available experience in the use of previously acquired helicopters. He suggested considering purchase of some middle class aircraft for flights over mountainous terrain in Kyrgyzstan as well as using the capabilities of the Airbus satellite for monitoring of border areas, changing of mountain river beds and rational use of farmlands in the country.

Jacques Garrigue told about the existing practice of using the A220 class aircraft by Manas Airlines. He also announced his readiness to positively consider the proposal to provide aircraft of the ATR-72 class with a capacity of up to 90 people and equipped with turbopropellers for flights within the country over short distances. Possible mechanisms and financing options were discussed regarding the use of the satellite.
