The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov met with the Prime Minister of Cuba Manuel Marrero Cruz as part of a working trip to Sochi on the sidelines of a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
During the bilateral meeting, they outlined a number of promising areas of cooperation: trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, healthcare, and tourism.
The head of the Cabinet noted the need to intensify bilateral partnership, especially in the trade and economic sphere, in order to increase the volume of trade.
Akylbek Japarov stressed the prospects for cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals and told about Kyrgyzpharmacy state enterprise, which is at the stage of establishing partnership with international manufacturers of medicines and medical devices.
He also noted the significant potential for cooperation between the two states in the field of tourism. «Kyrgyzstan has rich natural and ecological resources for both summer and winter tourism,» the head of the Cabinet said.
The Prime Minister of Cuba declared his readiness to speed up cooperation in all areas and noted that it is necessary to establish interaction between the state bodies of the two countries. He stressed the prospects and cooperation in the fields of medicine, pharmaceuticals and tourism.
Akylbek Japarov invited Manuel Marrero Cruz to visit Kyrgyzstan at any convenient time.
