Employees of the Service for Countering Extremism and Illegal Migration of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek detained a Pakistani citizen suspected of fraud and organizing illegal migration. Press service of the capital’s police reported.
«On February 11, four citizens of Pakistan turned to law enforcement agencies with a request to take action against their compatriot. Under the pretext of helping them get a work visa to Europe, he invited them to Kyrgyzstan and took $17,000. He did not fulfill his promise and disappeared. The Investigation Service of the Internal Affairs Department of Sverdlovsky district opened a criminal case under articles 209 (fraud) and 168 (organization of illegal migration) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic,» the statement says.
The 21-year-old suspect was identified and detained. The court took the detainee into custody for the period of investigation. His involvement in three similar facts was established.
