Almazbek Beishenaliev was dismissed from the post of the Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan. The corresponding decree was signed by the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov.
It became known on September 28 that Almazbek Beishenaliev was detained on suspicion of taking a bribe in the amount of $110,000. He allegedly extorted money for the enrollment of foreign students in domestic universities.
By the decision of the Pervomaisky District Court, he was placed in the pre-trial detention center of the State Committee for National Security.
