Kyrgyz wrestler Ernazar Akmataliev won a gold medal in the final of the freestyle wrestling tournament at the Islamic Solidarity Games.
He competed in the weight category up to 70 kilograms and in the final defeated an opponent from Iran. Ernazar Akmataliev won with a score 6-0.
This medal is the third for Kyrgyzstan at the Games.
In April, Ernazar Akmataliev won a silver medal at the Asian Freestyle Wrestling Championship.
The Islamic Solidarity Games are held for the fifth time. In 2021, due to the coronavirus pandemic, they were postponed to August 2022.
