President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov received the Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf.
They exchanged views on priority areas of cooperation, including on strengthening political, social, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The head of state expressed hope that the first visit to the country of Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf would lay a good foundation and give a great impetus to cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
He noted that the peoples of Kyrgyzstan and the Arab countries are connected by historical and spiritual ties of friendship, therefore, strengthening cooperation is one of the priority areas of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign policy.
Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf noted that the purpose of the visit is to deepen cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
Earlier, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Council.
