Events on the occasion of the 8th International Day of Yoga were held at the central A. Suyumbaev stadium in Osh city. Press service of the Osh City Hall reports.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Vice Mayor of Osh Venera Ryskulova, Chargé d’Affaires of the Ambassador of India to the Kyrgyz Republic Rajesh Kumar, representatives of the Osh State University, students, active citizens, youth.
Venera Ryskulova thanked the representatives of the Indian Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic and all the participants of the event, and also stated that the number of people practicing yoga and the healthy lifestyle are growing from year to year.
Representatives of Yoga Mama Center held yoga classes for the audience, as well as a cultural program with the participation of dance groups and artists of the city’s cultural department, as well as talented youth from India. The event was attended by about 700 people.
