Political scientist Marat Kazakpaev died in the hospital without waking up from a coma. It happened today, June 10, at about 3 p.m. His lawyer Ikramidin Aitkulov confirmed the information to 24.kg news agency.
According to him, Marat Kazakpaev was in serious condition.
The lawyer added that he would raise the issue of responsibility of the medical unit of the State Committee for National Security for untimely assistance.
The day before, due to a sharp deterioration in health, ambulance transported Marat Kazakpaev to Clinical Hospital No. 1 in Bishkek. According to relatives, he fell into a coma.
In April 2021, the State Committee for National Security sent out information about detention of two citizens for treason. One of the detainees was a political scientist Marat Kazakpaev, the second was the former head of the Kazakh diaspora in Kyrgyzstan Marat Toktouchikov.
