Bishkek will host an International Boxing Tournament for men and women. The Department of Physical Culture and Sports reports.
The sports competitions will be held from May 25 to May 29 at the Sports Palace named after Kaba uulu Kojomkul. The tournament is dedicated to the memory of Duishenkul Shopokov.
The purpose of the event is to popularize boxing among the youth of Kyrgyzstan, to select the reserve for the national boxing team, as well as to strengthen friendly sports ties between the boxing federations and sports organizations of the countries participating in the tournament.
Competitions will be held in 13 weight categories for men and 12 for women.
The organizer of the International Tournament is the Directorate for Olympic Sports and the Boxing Federation. The competition starts on May 25 at 3 p.m.
