An anniversary meeting of the Heads of State of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) began in Moscow. The event takes place in the Kremlin.
After joint ceremony of taking pictures, the President of Russia told his colleagues what is depicted on the ceiling. Only then the heads of state entered the meeting room for a meeting in a narrow format.
«At the suggestion of the chairman, the meeting is being held in Moscow, because it was here that the agreement was signed 30 years ago, and the CSTO was created on the basis of the agreement 20 years ago. We have two anniversaries almost on the same day. There were also difficult times in 1992 and 2002. They never end. The organization plays an important role in the post-Soviet space, a stabilizing role. I hope that in this sense, its capabilities and influence on the situation in our area of responsibility will only increase,» Vladimir Putin said.
