Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Beishenaliev and Minister of Innovative Development of Uzbekistan Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov discussed the development of scientific and technical cooperation. Press service of the Ministry of Education and Science reported.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of a meeting of heads of ministries and departments of science and technology of the SCO member states in Tashkent.
Almazbek Beishenaliev noted that there is a wide range of issues between the two countries for the development of scientific, technical and innovative cooperation. In particular, he proposed at the initial stage to establish a Kyrgyz-Uzbek Scientific Fund to finance joint research projects, as well as to organize joint scientific, innovative and start-up projects. At the same time, Almazbek Beishenaliev supported the initiative of the Uzbek side to exchange experience through scientific conferences, round tables and advanced training courses for scientists from the two countries.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to make joint efforts aimed at implementation of the agreements reached.
