Cabinet proposes to reduce social deductions for small, medium businesses

It is proposed to reduce the social deductions for small and medium-sized businesses. The Deputy Chairwoman of the Social Fund of Kyrgyzstan Gulnara Dzhumatova said at the meeting of the parliamentary committee on social policy.

According to her, 70 percent of the Social Fund’s payers are representatives of small and medium-sized businesses.

«We propose to reduce social tariffs for three years. As you know, the pandemic has affected small and medium-sized businesses. We hope that this measure will help business representatives come out of the shadows. Our goal is that no one should be left without a pension,» she said.

According to the initiative of the Cabinet of Ministers, it is proposed to reduce tariffs in two directions for companies the turnover of which is not more than 30 million soms:

— If the number of employees is five or less, the tariffs are reduced from 27.5 to 22 percent. That is, 12 percent is paid by the employer and 10 percent — by the employee;

— If the number of employees is more than 15 and the average wage is equal to the average wage in the country, then the tariff is 24 percent. That is, 14 percent is paid by the employer and 10 percent — by the employee.
