Dismantling of fence around White House starts in Bishkek

Employees of Tazalyk municipal enterprise started dismantling fence around the White House in Bishkek.

According to the acting Mayor of Bishkek Balbak Tulobaev, this work is carried out by the City Hall by order of the Speaker of the Parliament.

«The building of the White House and the fences are really not on the balance sheet of the City Hall, but we are doing this work at the instruction of the Speaker,» the acting mayor told.

He also noted that did not yet know how much the dismantling would cost to the city budget. The further fate of the fence is also unknown.

«The dismantled structures will be stored at one of the deports of the municipal enterprise. I don’t know yet whether they are planned to be installed somewhere later,» Balbak Tulobaev said.

It is planned to preserve the part of the fence, on which memorial plaques with the names of the killed in the April 7, 2010 events are installed. The workers will not demolish it.
