Birth rate on rise in Kyrgyzstan

Birth rate is on rise in Kyrgyzstan. The State Registration Service of the country reported.

According to the data of automated information systems on passports and the registry offices, at least 98,000 newborns have been registered for 9 months of 2018 that is 37,000 more than in 2017.

More than 55,000 applications have been registered since the launch of the one-time allowance «balaga suyunchu.»

The number of adoptions has also grown. This year, 754 children were adopted, which is 125 children more than in the same period of 2017. Paternity rates increased.

The number of registered marriages increased from 16,000 to 30,000. However, the number of divorces is also growing. About 7,500 families divorced this year, in 2017 — 5,000.
