The President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov met with the head of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. The Information Policy Department of the Presidential Administration reported.
According to Sooronbai Jeenbekov, the Kyrgyz side attaches special importance to the comprehensive development of Kyrgyz-Tajik relations. «We are determined to increase the potential of bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest and to strengthen the bonds of friendship between our peoples,» he said.
The two heads of state stressed the need to intensify the work of the intergovernmental commission on the delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, including cooperation on cross-border issues.
Recall, Sooronbai Jeenbekov arrived in Dushanbe to attend a meeting of the Council of Heads of CIS States.
